Robert is a native of Kent, Washington having graduated from Kentridge High School in 1988. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves as an M1A1 Tank Crewman serving in Operation Desert Storm. Upon his return from Desert Storm he attended Central Washington University graduating with a BA in Psychology in 1996. Following graduation Robert was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps where he deployed twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan flying combat missions in support of ground forces. Upon his retirement in 2013 he attended Elon University School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2017. His 25 years of military service make him uniquely qualified to assist military members as they navigate the legal system, as well as civilian members of the community. Robert practices in both the Criminal and Family Courts of Eastern North Carolina.
Mary Ellen has more than 25 years of experience in the legal field, 19 of which have been exclusively in domestic law. She is a native New Yorker, who has lived in Carteret County since 1992. In New York she worked for a private law firm in the area of real estate, personal injury, and civil litigation, and at the Tompkins County District Attorneys office where she was responsible for four Assistant District Attorney’s and working with many law enforcement departments on misdemeanor and felony cases. Mary Ellen’s experience and expertise in these areas had proved invaluable to the clients she serves.
